As a freelancer or company looking to build your next presentation, you may want to consider using Google Slides. Although the free version offers some useful features, I find the premium version far superior. You’ll need to set up a Google account to use Slides. Most people already have one. You can use your Google ID to sign up for Slides across all products offered by Google.
Shareable link feature
When sharing your Google Slides presentation with colleagues or clients, the Shareable link feature gives you a lot of options. In addition to being able to copy the URL of your presentation, it can be converted into a preview, template, or PDF link. This option is useful if you want your audience to know that your document was created in G Suite. If you want to share your presentation with multiple people, this option will save you time.
The Share function is available at the top-right corner of the window and allows you to send your presentation to more than one person. You can also individually set editing permissions for each contact. By default, you can only share the presentation with contacts who have read-only access to your email address. You can also give the same access to everyone on your contact list. This feature allows you to get feedback from your clients and colleagues without having to change your presentation.
In Google Slides, the Auto-save feature is very convenient for creating presentations. This feature automatically saves your work to the cloud so you can continue working on your slideshow wherever you are. Using this feature is very easy, and it will ensure that the latest version of your presentation is always available to you. This feature is especially useful when creating a presentation for a client, co-worker, or colleague.
Google Slides also offers an offline mode. This feature allows you to view your documents without internet connection. When you lose the internet connection, your offline document syncs with the online version and will auto-save to the Cloud. If you want to use this feature, sign in to your Google account in Chrome and check the box that enables offline editing. Next, right-click on a Sheet and select “Use offline mod” from the context menu. You can also press the Ctrl key while right-clicking a sheet file and select “Use offline mode”.
Auto-save won’t work if your internet connection is unstable. An unstable connection is the most common reason for this problem. This can occur with Wi-Fi or public networks. If you are unable to save your work, then you’re probably on the wrong network. If your connection is slow, your changes will not be saved in the cloud. Speedtest by Ookla can help you determine if your internet connection is slow.
Google Slides also offers auto-save, which will make your work easier. Auto-save will automatically save any changes to your cloud so that you can access them whenever you like. This feature is very useful if you are constantly making changes. It will also keep you from making changes in the cloud. Aside from that, it will also help you work faster.
Image editing options
If you’ve ever wanted to add an image to your presentation, you can now do so in Google Slides. You can choose to insert an image or use an automatically-uploaded image. You can also adjust the size and position of the image, change its colour shade, and change its contrast and brightness. To make image editing even easier, Google Slides offers the following tools:
Google Slides’ Crop feature allows you to crop an image to the size and shape that you require. Click on the image to crop it. To add an extra touch to your image, you can also use the borders option. Click on the image to choose the border color or weight. You can even use dots or dashes to add borders. Finally, Google Slides allows you to reshape your image and resize it.
Using the image formatting options is easy. The formatting options can be found on the right sidebar of the Google Slides window. By default, you can choose “No Recolor.” This will change the color of the preview thumbnail. You can change the transparency of the image. For more detailed instructions, see the following video tutorial. If you have a free account with Google, you can sign up for their newsletter and receive updates and news on the latest features.
Adding drop shadows makes images look more realistic and add depth to your slides. You can also choose the angle and distance of drop shadow. These tools are available in Google Slides and can be adjusted to suit your preferences. Third-party extensions can only make things more complicated. If you want to add a shadow, you can click the Format option and then click “Drop Shadow”. After you have selected the drop shadow effect you will see several options.
After you have uploaded your image to Google Slides, you will need to choose the type of image that you want. Google Slides allows you to insert either JPEG or PNG files. PNG is better for images with depth, but JPEG is better for flat vector graphics. In addition, you can also select the size and quality of the image, and save it locally or in the cloud. You’re now ready to go!
You can give students or colleagues a set of editable slides to help them make presentations. You can then watch other students make changes live. Google Slides offers a wide range of collaboration options. You can even assign a group of people each editable slide. This feature is great for teamwork as students can all work on one document. You can even see your colleagues editing or typing as they work.
Use the Collaboration options in Google Slides to collaborate with students or colleagues. This tool lets you chat with others in real time by clicking on a grey person icon. This feature is only available for those who have been added in your presentation. You can also email your collaborators by entering a message into the text box and choosing them from a list. Here are some examples of collaboration options in Google Slides.
All people with access to the presentation link can view it and make edits in real-time when you share it. As a result, you can have multiple people working on the same deck at the same time. The top right-hand panel shows the names of your collaborators. Clicking on any collaborator will give you more information about their access rights to the presentation. You can then grant them the owner status to allow them to edit the document.
It is important that everyone involved in a presentation is aware of their roles. It can be confusing to use desktop software to create presentations. You may have to email multiple versions of the same presentation. However, Google Slides has a feature called Version History, which allows you to view previous edit rounds of a presentation. This feature allows you to share and comment on your presentation, as well as sending emails to collaborators with access to it.
You can also share shared documents and spreadsheets with co-workers. Google Forms, on the other hand, have one permission level. Collaborations can edit any part of a form and any responses it contains. There is no need to create separate forms for collaborators in both Slides and Sheets. And you can chat while collaborating on a shared document. You can also share your work with your colleagues using Google Forms.

For more information on customizing a theme, see the “Slide Master” section of Google Slides. You can easily modify the theme to change the look and feel for your presentation.

They’re easy to create, and you can create a new one whenever you need to. Google Slides has 23 pre-installed themes, including the default. Make sure you choose the default fonts that you want to use when choosing a theme. To make your presentation professional, you should only use three to four fonts.
After you have created your Google Slides theme you can modify it by adding text placeholders. This allows the end-user to know exactly where to place their content. Theme Builder also allows you to add new sections and change the existing ones. To add new sections or edit existing ones, click on “Edit Theme” in Google Slides’ “Master View” or “Theme Editor View”.
You can either apply a new theme for all slides or just select a few. Once you have selected your theme, Google Slides will apply it to the whole presentation. It will also remove any previous theme. You can create a new slide master that has a different theme in order to apply a different template to a slide. You can also import a theme you have previously created to your own presentation. To do this, open the presentation you created with a blank theme. You can add images, text, and web links.
Rearrange placeholders within a theme
You may be wondering how to rearrange placeholders in a Google Slides template. You can easily rearrange your placeholders, resize your slides, and apply other formatting to your slides. If you use the child presentation style, the changes you make will be limited. You must pick and choose which attributes you want to update. Some changes are more complex, such as changing the content and position of elements. Once you’ve finished with this, you can go back to the theme and apply the changes you want. Next, return to the original theme and click on the Save button to save the changes.
If you want to add image placeholders, you should follow the same steps as you would when inserting text placeholders. Make sure you activate theme builder mode first. Next, click on the image placeholder and choose the image style. Drag it to the desired location. You can also resize your image placeholder by dragging the item to the desired position. It is important to remember that dragging the image placeholder too far can cause it to skew.
