As a freelancer or company looking to build your next presentation, you may want to consider using Google Slides. Although the free version offers some useful features, I find the premium version far superior. Slides can only be used with a Google account. Thankfully, most people already have one. In fact, if you want to sign up for Slides, you can use your Google ID across all the products offered by Google.
Shareable link feature
The Shareable link feature allows you to share your Google Slides presentation with clients or colleagues. You can copy the URL of your presentation and convert it into a PDF, template, or preview. This option can be useful if you want to highlight the content of your document without having your audience know it was created in G Suite. This option is great if you want to share your presentation quickly with multiple people.
The Share function is located in the top-right corner and allows you send your presentation to multiple people. You can also individually set editing permissions for each contact. You can only share the presentation to contacts who have read-only email access to your address. You can also give the same access to everyone on your contact list. This feature allows you to get feedback from your clients and colleagues without having to change your presentation.
Google Slides’ Auto-save feature makes it easy to create presentations. This feature automatically saves your work to the cloud so you can continue working on your slideshow wherever you are. This feature is easy to use and will ensure that you have the most recent version of your presentation at all times. This feature is especially useful when creating a presentation for a client, co-worker, or colleague.
Google Slides also offers an offline mode. This feature allows you to view your documents without internet connection. When you lose the internet connection, your offline document syncs with the online version and will auto-save to the Cloud. If you want to use this feature, sign in to your Google account in Chrome and check the box that enables offline editing. Then, right-click on a Sheet file and select “Use offline mode” from the context menu. You can also press Ctrl while right-clicking on a sheet file to select “Use offline Mode”.
Auto-save won’t work if your internet connection is unstable. The most common cause for this problem is an unstable connection. This can occur with Wi-Fi or public networks. If you can’t save your work, you’re on the wrong network. If your connection is slow, your changes will not be saved in the cloud. Speedtest by Ookla can help you determine if your internet connection is slow.
Auto-save is another feature of Google Slides that will make your work more efficient. The auto-save feature will automatically save any changes to the cloud, so you can work with it whenever you want. This feature is very useful if you are constantly making changes. It will also prevent you from having to make any changes in the cloud. Aside from that, it will also help you work faster.
Image editing options
If you’ve ever wanted to add an image to your presentation, you can now do so in Google Slides. You can choose to insert an image or use an automatically-uploaded image. You can adjust the image’s size, position, colour, brightness, and shade. Google Slides makes image editing easy with the following tools:
Google Slides’ Crop feature allows you to crop an image to the size and shape that you require. To crop an image, just click the image and choose the area you wish to crop. You can also use the borders feature to add an extra touch to your image. To do so, click on the image and then choose the border color and weight. You can even use dots or dashes to add borders. Google Slides also allows you to resize and reshape images.
It is very easy to use the image formatting options. The formatting options can be found on the right sidebar of the Google Slides window. By default, you can choose “No Recolor.” This means that the image will be recolored to match the preview thumbnail. You can change the transparency of the image. The following video tutorial will provide more details. You can sign up for the Google newsletter if you have a Google account. This will allow you to receive news and updates about the latest features.
Adding drop shadows makes images look more realistic and add depth to your slides. You can also choose the angle and distance of drop shadow. These tools are available in Google Slides and can be adjusted to suit your preferences. Just make sure you’re not using third-party extensions, as they’ll only complicate things. Click the Format option, then click “Drop Shadow” to add a shadow. Once you’ve selected the drop shadow effect, you’ll see several options.
After you have uploaded your image to Google Slides, you will need to choose the type of image that you want. Google Slides allows you to insert either JPEG or PNG files. PNG is better for images with depth, but JPEG is better for flat vector graphics. In addition, you can also select the size and quality of the image, and save it locally or in the cloud. Then you’re ready to go!
You can give students or colleagues a set of editable slides to help them make presentations. Then, you can watch the other students make changes live. Google Slides offers a wide range of collaboration options. You can even assign a group of people each editable slide. This feature is great for teamwork, as students can all work on the same document. There are even features that let you see your colleagues typing or editing as they do so.
Use the Collaboration options in Google Slides to collaborate with students or colleagues. You can chat with others by clicking on the grey person icon. However, you should be aware that this feature is only available to those who have been added to your presentation. You can also email your collaborators by entering a message into the text box and choosing them from a list. Here are some examples of collaboration options in Google Slides.
When you share a presentation link, all the people who have access to it can view and make edits in real time. Multiple people can work on the same deck simultaneously. You can see the names of collaborators in the top right-hand panel. Clicking on any collaborator’s name will show you more information about their access to the presentation. Then, you can decide to grant them the owner status so that they can edit the document.
When working on a presentation, it is important to ensure that each member is aware of the different roles. It can be confusing to use desktop software to create presentations. You may have to email multiple versions of the same presentation. Google Slides offers a feature called Version History that allows you to see previous edit rounds. Aside from sharing and commenting, this feature allows you to send emails to collaborators who have access to your presentation.
You can also share spreadsheets and documents with co-workers. Google Forms, on the other hand, have one permission level. As a result, collaborators on a form can edit any part of the form or any of the responses it contains. You don’t need to create separate forms for collaborators using Slides or Sheets. You can also chat while working on a shared document. Using Google Forms, you can even share your work with your team.
How to Customize a Google Slides Template
You may not be aware that Google Slides allows you to import custom themes. You can import a theme by clicking the Import button in the Themes pane. To import a theme, you must be logged into Google and open your slide presentation. Then, go to File > Make a copy of the master slide and choose the custom theme. After that, you can customize the master slide by changing the color of fonts, adding sections, and more.
Use a Google Slides template to create a presentation
Once you have downloaded a Google Slides template, you can customize it to fit your presentation’s needs. These templates are available in many styles and designs, so you can customize them to suit your presentation’s needs. Here are some examples of how to customize a Google Slides template. Choose the appropriate one based on the needs of your audience. Then, click “Open” to open your presentation in Google Slides.
Edit your master slide to change the layout, design, or color scheme of your presentation. If you want to customize the entire slide show, you can also edit the master template editor. After modifying your template, save your project. Be sure to rename it when you are done. You can also change its background color or add a picture or shape to it. Then, go back to the master slide view and select the new theme.
Once you have chosen the right template, save it to your Google Drive storage. The template can be imported into another presentation by clicking the View/Master button. You can then modify the layout and add text to your presentation. After importing the template, you can customize it to fit your needs. A Google Slides template can be edited in any way you like, so you can make it unique to your presentation.
A Google Slides template will make your slides more appealing to your audience. It can be used for both business and personal presentations. The pre-built templates have placeholders for images, which means that you can upload photos from your computer without needing to download and customize the template. Consider the size and quality of your image when choosing one. Contrast is the main element of attention. If your presentation is to be seen by many people, then you might want to use images with contrasting colors.
Choose a theme
There are many places where you can find a theme to use with Google Slides templates. These resources often offer hundreds of themes, if not thousands. They allow you to search by category, color, and tag, and you can also find featured themes and recently updated themes. If you’re looking for a theme that’s specifically for your industry or needs, GoogleSlidesThemes.com has hundreds of free themes you can download. You can also look for multipurpose templates on SlidesGala, which has a great selection of free and premium themes for Google Slides. It’s not just a good theme – it’s a great resource for creating compelling presentations.
Another great resource is Envato Elements, which offers countless digital assets. Their unlimited-download offer is the best creative deal of 2022. GraphicRiver also offers free Google Slides templates. You don’t have to sign up to access their resources. These resources provide an endless supply of templates, but you may be stuck with only a few. So, what are your options?
Import themes from other presentations is another option. You can import a Google Slides template that you have already downloaded into Google Slides. To do this, you must have the presentation open in Google Drive. After that, select the theme in the icon menu and click Import Theme. You’ll see a gallery of the themes you’ve imported to Google Slides. Alternatively, you can import themes from Microsoft PowerPoint files.
Google Slides templates have different color schemes and styles. A theme is a great choice if you want to change the presentation’s appearance. These themes come with placeholder text that you’ll need to replace. Just click into the text box, select the contents, and then type your text to replace the placeholder text. This process will be repeated throughout the theme. A theme is a great place to start if you want a theme that reflects your brand or personal style.
Customize a theme
Using a theme is an excellent way to create a consistent visual identity for your presentation and cut down on the time it takes you to select presentation elements. Themes also let you customize the colors and font sizes of the elements on each slide, making them easy to customize for different audiences. Themes can be reused once they are created. Google Slides provides 23 pre-built themes that you can choose from.
Besides creating a custom theme, you can also import PowerPoint themes into Google Slides. Go to the Presentations section in your Google account and search the theme you are looking for. Browse through the file collection until you find the right template. Once you’ve imported the theme, add content and make it look as professional as possible. A theme can be customized to communicate a brand message to modern customers.
You can add text and a logo to a Google Slides theme. After creating the master slide you can modify the theme’s settings by changing font color or adding new logo. You can also change the background image of the slide. You should remember that any changes made to the master slide will be applied to all subsequent layout slides. To reflect changes to the master slide, the theme settings can be modified at any time.
To change the color of the theme, click on the new color in the dropdown menu. You can also change the background color for your presentation. Once you’ve chosen a new color, click on the “Edit master” option on the “Slide” tab in the ribbon. This will take you to the “Master View” of Google Slides, where you can modify the theme color, text colors, and slide layout.
Add sections to a theme
If you have ever used Google Slides to create a presentation or a corporate website, you have no doubt seen the built-in themes. However, you may want to customize them to meet your exact needs. If you are unsure of how to customize a theme, you can refer to the “Slide Master” section of the Google Slides app for more information. You can easily modify the theme to change the look and feel for your presentation.
Themes are great for giving your presentations a consistent visual identity and reducing the number of elements that you have to manually choose. They’re easy to create, and you can create a new one whenever you need to. Google Slides comes with 23 built-in themes, including a default one. Make sure you choose the default fonts that you want to use when choosing a theme. To make your presentation professional, you should only use three to four fonts.
Once you have created your Google Slides theme, you can customize it by adding text placeholders. This allows the user to specify exactly where their content should be placed. Theme Builder also allows you to add new sections and change the existing ones. In order to add new sections and edit existing ones, click “Edit Theme” in the “Master View” and “Theme Editor View” in Google Slides.
You can apply a new theme to all your slides, or you can customize just a few. Google Slides will apply your chosen theme to your entire presentation once you have made the selection. It will also remove any previous theme. To apply a different theme to a specific slide, you can create a new slide master with a different theme. You can also import a theme from another presentation to your own. To do this, open the presentation you created with a blank theme. You can add images, text, and web links.
Rearrange placeholders within a theme
You may be wondering how to rearrange placeholders in a Google Slides template. You can easily rearrange your placeholders, resize your slides, and apply other formatting to your slides. Just click the “Edit theme” button in the toolbar to access the options. You can also modify the background and color of your slides or create new themes. You can’t reorder placeholders in a theme already in use.
Rearrange placeholders in a Google’s Slides theme by selecting the desired layout. Simply click on the border of the placeholder to rearrange it and drag it to the desired location. Once you’ve finished adjusting the placeholders, you can delete them or add more. To delete a placeholder, you can either delete it or press Delete to remove it from the template. If you don’t want to change the layout of your slides, you can create additional blank slides.
If you use the child presentation style, the changes you make will be limited. You will need to choose the attributes that you wish to update. Some changes are more complex, such as changing the content and position of elements. Once you’ve finished with this, you can go back to the theme and apply the changes you want. Then, go back to your original theme and click the Save button to apply the changes.
You should follow the same steps for adding image placeholders as when inserting text placeholders. First, activate theme builder mode. Next, click on the image placeholder and choose the image style. You can then drag it to the location you want. You can also resize the image placeholder by dragging it to the position you want. You should be aware that dragging it may cause the image to skew, so be careful not to drag it too far.
